User Data & Account Deletion
You are always in control of your data. You can delete your OneMind account and all associated data at any time — directly from the app or by contacting us. We honor all deletion requests promptly.
How to Delete Your Account
You have two ways to delete your OneMind account. Both methods will permanently remove your account and all associated personal data.
Option 1: Delete from Within the App (Recommended)
Open Settings
In OneMind, tap the profile icon or go to Settings from the main menu.
Go to Account
Tap "Account" and then select "Manage Account" or "Privacy".
Tap Delete Account
Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account". You may be asked to confirm with your password.
Confirm Deletion
Review what will be deleted, then tap the final confirmation button. Your account deletion will begin immediately.
Option 2: Request via Email
If you are unable to access the app or prefer to make a written request, email us at privacy@getgetonemind.app with the subject line "Account Deletion Request". Please include:
- The email address associated with your account
- Your full name (as registered)
- A brief statement of your deletion request
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days and confirm by email once complete.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- ✓ Your account profile (name, email, avatar)
- ✓ All tasks, projects, and subtasks you created
- ✓ All habit records and streak history
- ✓ All notes, journal entries, and voice memos
- ✓ Your scheduled events and calendar data
- ✓ AI Coach conversation history
- ✓ App preferences and customization settings
- ✓ Push notification tokens
- ✓ Progress reports and analytics data
What May Be Retained
Note: Certain records may be retained for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as:
- Transaction records: Subscription purchase records may be retained for up to 7 years as required for tax and accounting compliance. This data does not include your app content.
- Backup systems: Deleted data may remain in encrypted backup systems for up to 90 days before being fully purged from all systems.
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics that cannot be traced back to you may be retained indefinitely.
- Legal holds: If we are required to preserve data as part of a legal proceeding, we will notify you to the extent permitted by law.
Deletion Timeline
Immediate
Your account is deactivated. You lose access to the app and your data is no longer visible.
Within 7 Days
Your personal data and all app content is deleted from our primary databases.
Within 30 Days
Your data is removed from all secondary systems, caches, and CDN servers.
Within 90 Days
All encrypted backup copies containing your data are permanently purged.
Cancel Your Subscription First
Important: Deleting your OneMind account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. Please cancel your subscription separately before or after deleting your account to avoid future charges.
Cancel on iOS (App Store)
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone
- Tap your name at the top → Subscriptions
- Find "OneMind" and tap it
- Tap Cancel Subscription
Cancel on Android (Google Play)
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
- Find "OneMind" and tap Cancel subscription
Data Download (Export)
Before deleting your account, you can request a copy of your data. To request a data export, email privacy@getgetonemind.app with the subject "Data Export Request". We will provide your data in a portable format (JSON/CSV) within 30 days.
